911 (if injuries)

911

What To Do

1

Stop and secure the scene

Pull over safely if possible. Turn on hazard lights. Turn off the engine. Do NOT leave the scene.

2

Check for injuries

Check yourself and any passengers. If anyone is injured, call 911 immediately. Do not move injured people unless there is immediate danger (fire, traffic).

3

Call 911 if needed

Call 911 for any injuries, significant vehicle damage, road blockage, or if the other party is uncooperative. Request a police report for all accidents involving another vehicle or property damage.

4

Contact your supervisor

Call your Operations Manager / supervisor immediately after securing the scene. Report every accident — even if there appears to be no damage.

5

Document everything

Take photos of all vehicles involved (all angles), damage, license plates, road conditions, and the overall scene. Get the other driver's name, phone number, insurance info, and license plate number.

6

Do NOT admit fault

Be courteous and cooperative, but do not admit fault or apologize for the accident. Do not discuss the accident with anyone other than police, your supervisor, or North Hub management.

7

Complete the company accident report

Fill out the standard company incident report form as soon as possible, while details are fresh. Your supervisor will provide the form.

8

Post-accident drug test

You may be required to submit to a post-accident drug and alcohol test as determined by First Advantage (FADV). Do not consume any alcohol or substances after the accident until cleared.
